TACO MEAT INGREDIENTS:
1 lb. Ground Turkey
1 packet Taco seasoning
2/3 cup water
1 Tbsp vegetable oil
1 can black or pinto beans
1 can corn
1/2 yellow onion chopped
pico de gallo
STEP 1: heat up vegetable oil in a 10" pan, place ground turkey into the pan.
STEP 2: cook the turkey thoroughly until all the pink is gone, then pour out any excess fat.
STEP 3: Add the water and taco seasoning, mix and bring to a boil then reduce heat to medium and let simmer uncovered for 3-4 minutes.
STEP 4: Add I. The can of beans, make sure to drain liquid out of can before adding.
STEP 5: chop and add yellow onion
STEP 6: add the can of corn, drain liquid out of can first, let the whole combination sit on medium heat for 3-4 min, stir occasionally
Serve and enjoy! Get creative with the different ways to serve. My favorite is in a taco salad with lemon juice and hot sauce as the dressing but you can also add this to tacos, make lettuce wraps, eat plain, serve with Mexican rice, etc. If you have any other creative ways you like to serve taco meat please comment below I am always looking for new ideas!
This is one of my go to meals for a busy week I am able to get about 5-6 servings out of a batch which is very cost efficient. When I serve it over lettuce the whole things has around 400 calories which is not bad for a filling dinner! I hope you enjoy!
