Dear _____ ,
Life's a beach and we're all just playing in the sand. There are some things in life that you just don't want to wait for and for me one of those things is food. This restaurant is quite the popular place on a Saturday around dinner time. I went with two of my friends who live in NY so luckily they had thought ahead an made a quick reservation on open table (I definitely recommend this if you are trying to find a restaurant in the city with a group of friends). One small piece of advice is request an upstairs table! The downstairs seating area is very very dark and not quite as lively.
The three of us are a bunch of west coast girls who were craving a piece of home. We would have loved some warm weather and crashing waves but hey I guess some tropical drinks and beach decor can do the trick! As for drinks I ordered the shark juice mostly because it comes in a cute little plastic shark cup. This was a fruit punch rum drink that was tropical and tasty! My second drink was the endless summer a lemon infused vodka with fresh cucumber and mint, it tasted like a warm summer day in San Diego. You could hardly taste the alcohol in either but they definitely pack a punch so get ready for some flashbacks to those college jungle juice parties.
Now let's talk about the PIZZA, this is the place! The three of us shared 2 pizzas and a salad and it was the perfect amount of food, don't forget the cocktails too because when in Rome... We ordered the Pink Vodka and the Quattro Formaggi pizzas both were very good but if I had to pick just one I would go with the Quattro Formaggi for sure! It had caramelized onion and 4 types of cheese, what more can you ask for?
This place is more than a restaurant it's a social playground, when we arrived the place was filled to the brim, packed full of young people. It seems like the perfect place for a party or a large group! Above all else I just loved the feeling of stepping foot through the door and into a vacation. It's about as close to a SoCal beach party as you can get on the east coast. You definitely need to make a stop if you are missing the salty SoCal breeze on a cold New York day!
